SPEAKER: Chuck Taylor Topic: The Tornado in Uxbridge
Chuck described the devastation in Uxbridge caused by a recent tornado. Unfortunately, his MAC computer and the golf club projector could not hook up together so we could t see a lot of his pictures. The tornado hit mainly the economically depressed area of town.
There are at least five families that are temporarily being house at Durham College until September. After that they have no where to live and lo food to eat.
The Rotary Club of Uxbridge has been taking donations from other Rotary Clubs and from the Town of Stouffvile.to help with the recuperations. Here are some links to some videos that show the devastation

Tornado Relief Donations
We are grateful to all who have reached out with offers of support after a tornado touched down in Uxbridge on May 21 2022 and caused catastrophic damage. We know many lives have been changed. The Rotary Club of Uxbridge is glad to be able to provide a central place to receive donations through the Rotary Club of Uxbridge Charitable Foundation.
We are working with Durham Social Services and the Township of Uxbridge to assess the specific needs of the community including supporting families and individuals who have been displaced and those dealing with food insecurity. All funds donated will be distributed as quickly as possible to local charitable organizations serving the community.
