On Monday August 28 at the Thomas, Efraim Law office of two of our Rotary Club members (Leon Efraim and Brady Bodley) , Linda Porritt , President of the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood presented a BIG CHEQUE for $1,600 to Shannon Jackson, Exedcutive Director of Durham Youth Services.
The money will be used immediately to ourchase 4 beds for 4 youth who are leaving the shelter and renting a place of their own.
Durham Youth Services ( a non profit service organization, here in Durham Region) has a mission to end youth homelessness in Durham Region and to partner with youth to achieve and maintain lasting solutions to their housing crisis. (see: https://durhamyouth.com )
