The Rotary Club of Oshawa - Parkwood is hosting its 26TH Annual Reverse Draw, Dinner and Silent Auction, at The Oshawa Golf Club on Thursday, April 25, 2013, it was announced today, by Oshawa-Parkwood Rotarian Mike McLaren, Co-chair of this year’s event, along with Vice-President Alan Finnigan. The Golf Club is located at 160 Alexandra Street in Oshawa.

The proceeds from this Gala event will be used to support many community service projects of The Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood such as:  Alzheimers Society of Durham Region, The Kids Safety Village, Participation House (for mentally and physically challenged adults),  Lakeridge Health, the Colonel R.S. McLaughlin Regional Cancer Centre, Christmas Food drives at The Salvation Army and at Simcoe Hall Settlement House, various youth programs at Durham Region YMCA,  the Eradication of Polio through Rotary International’s End Polio Now Campaign,  and assistance for students at Mary Street Community School.

“The doors open at 6:00 pm for a cocktail hour, with a fabulous dinner, prepared by the Oshawa Golf Club’s chefs being served at 7:00 pm. The Reverse Draw and Silent Auction begins at 8:30 pm. The last ticket drawn from the drum wins $3,000.00, and every 15th ticket drawn wins $ 100.00.  Our Rotary Club members are very busy collecting dozens of items for the Silent Auction Tables, available exclusively to the successful bidders to take home and enjoy. We know that everyone will have a night of fun, great dining, and at the same time, help our Rotary Club make a real difference to people’s lives, both locally and internationally.” Mr. McLaren said.

Tickets for the dinner and draw are $ 125.00 per person or a table of 8 for $900.00. Tax receipts will also be available for the non-dinner portion of the evening.

Tickets are available from every Parkwood Rotarian or by calling Rotarian Mike McLaren at 905-571-4222, or Past President Terry de Young at 905-434-4544.
