     NOTES RE FEES (club funds) – there is a shortfall of approx $800.00/year in club funds; these $$ should not be taken from our community fund raising efforts. RI fee per member is $130.00

         ??what creates this shortfall –  cost of meals for speakers

                                                          cost of meals when attendance is below set minimum

   Suggestions to cover this shortfall – Raise yearly dues from $260.00 to $275.00 NOTE we are already the most     expensive club in our area and concern has been expressed by current members

                                                          Increase meal cost

                                                          Charge an additional fee for those who miss multiple meetings (meals)

             The Board is charged with making the final decision.

 GUEST SPEAKER  :  due to a cancellation there was no speaker for this evening

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

The “ideal of service” is the key. It is an attitude that does not change from one version to the next. It is an attitude we all have, as Rotarians.

IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT, MAKE UP : Pat Dyck, our Club Secretary has a Rotary International Directory of all Rotary Clubs in the world, when and where they meet. Please mail or fax your make-ups to Pat Dyck, or give your make-up card to the attendance/registration officer at the next club meeting.
