The Kids’ Safety Village in Whitby will be closed until the end of June for construction upgrades. It means the annual ‘March Break Madness’ and ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ are cancelled as the village undergoes improvements. Regular programming at the village is expected to resume in September. There’s more information on the upgrades here. Since the Safety Village is closed there may be more down time for your kids while you’re at work. DRPS released a number of important safety tips if your children are off for March Break:
If you’re heading out of town for the break, police suggest you don’t announce it on social media, get someone to get your mail and newspaper and consider having timers for lights in your home. They also say you should upload your pictures when you get back. |
